I think the first thing you have to do is drop the saga after Ep 9. Let that be a "Skywalker" trilogy of trilogies. And then move on.

They shouldn't do any other trilogies after that for a long, long, long time. If ever. They should do stand alone anthology films, and only single anthology films, no trilogies.

Expand the universe. Stop sticking with the characters and timeframe that we already know. Rogue One is a perfect bridge. Han Solo, fine, if it's one movie.

They start to spread out. If you're going to tell more stories in the saga timeline, keep focusing on minor and/or unknown characters.

And DON'T expand to two movies a year. Keep it one a year, tops. One every two years would be better.

The profit can come from the merch, the books, the comics, and the theme park.

Kyber crystals have been around for a long time. I think they're first introduced (in the old canon) in Splinter of the Mind's Eye. But they've also been in the new canon (in Clone Wars, specifically).

I love the introduction of these in the new official canon.

yea i would love to actually see the lightsaber be constructed. That would be cool. I think that was one of my favorite parts of one of the book trilogies i read.

Strat. This is a deleted scene from return of the Jedi. You see Vader contacting Luke just as he is building his lightsaber. This was actually deleted and it would have been so awesome had it been left in.

I've always loved how shiny Vader is

yeah it seems like they've gotten longer lately. Basically just a free, TLDR version of the movie.

Maybe thats why I dont go to the movies anymore.

Trailers really suck these days. They pretty much show everything. A 3 minute trailer from this movie seem not only long, but shows that Disney dont know how to sell the movie properly.
Maybe because it sucks, maybe because its awesome and different from what we expect from a SW movie.

Maybe because it sucks, maybe because its awesome and different from what we expect from a SW movie.

maybe it generates buzz and gets butts in the seats for that movie, but they won't enjoy it as much, so it damages the franchise long term.
