Silver Linings Playbook. Good movie, about what I expected from a late year awards bait film. There's no new territory here as there's been a thousand movies with two mentally ill leads falling in love but the quality in the acting, writing and directing elevate indie (and not so indie) cliches. Glad I saw it but doubt I'll re-watch.

I watched Disney's Atlantis and Treasure Planet today. pretty great movies, especially Atlantis. shame they were such bombs and signaled the death of 2d Disney flicks.

actually I hesitate to put treasure planet in the same league as Atlantis, as Atlantis looks amazing. apparently it's based on Mike Mignola's work, which is one of my favorite all time artists, so that's obviously a plus for me.

Watched "Brave". It was OK... it felt more like Pixar had animated a Disney movie than a straight up Pixar production.

Saw Premium Rush over the weekend. A decent but unremarkable flick with Joseph GordonLevitt as a bike messenger and Micheal Shannon as his antagonist. The good news is it clocks in at 84 minutes when the closing credits start.
