Pool is fairly moody and listless. It's got rock songs on it, but they don't have the effortless energy of the uptempo songs from the last couple albums. They feel like they're just going through the motions, which is probably intentional given the themes running throughout.

I haven't had much desire to listen to it in a while and I never found it to be very engaging. That said, I'm not as much of a Radiohead fan as most of you guys, so this not measuring up to my favorites in their catalog doesn't bother me too much.

In Rainbows
OK Computer
The King of Limbs
Amnesiac/Hail to the Thief (depends on the day)
Kid A
The Bends
Pablo Honey
This is still it for me, with "A Moon Shaped Pool" slotting either before or after "The Bends" -- not sure yet.
Okay. I trust your Radiohead-ness. Carry on.

I will say, I claim to like Radiohead a lot more than my actual listening behavior reflects.

Same.

And Pool, much like Kid A, is a record that works so much more with mass stimulation and movement. Put that fucker on your headphones and go for a walk around the city. Or get on the train and people watch. It opens right up.

Yep. The first time I listened to Pool (or at least the first half) was on the bus on a shitty rainy day going into work. Everyone sitting and standing around looking dead in the face... Perfect.

That was awesome. I had heard the beginning of the 23 theory, but nothing that deep, or all of the other stuff. God I love this band.

I liked that they labelled all the women, just in case any Radiohead fans struggled with the concept.

I'm the opposite. I haaaaaaaate shit like that. I think maybe half of those points don't hold up at all ("hi" and "dry" lollll). Numerological analysis of music videos is a waste of time.

If 10% of those theories are true, then it's brilliant!

"Nine is the number of studio albums they've released but also a 6 upside down"

Lotsa bullshit in that video

Though, some of it is right I'm sure

Has anyone seen a recording for 7-26-2016? I think it's the only show I haven't seen a recording for and it's the only one that I want.
