Gametrailers has some pretty good video reviews.
I agree about the Last of Us. I'm only about 5-6 hours in but it is the culmination of everything this generation of games has been doing. I think it will be a generation defining game when we look back in a few years.
Simple Torture wrote:Elder Scrolls: Oblivion or Fallout 3? I've played through Bioshock for the first time (lots of fun, liked the story, certainly lived up to the hype), but I'd love to start a RPG that will be a longer-form experience. I can get these 2 pretty cheap; thoughts?
So when do PS+ games rotate, first of the month? I don't get paid until July 5th, but I'd love to buy a year's worth of PS+ this month to get the instant games that are up now. Do I have to order tomorrow?
I have a dumb question. If you download a game on PS+ and its a PS Vita game can you play it on the PS3? In other words if I don't have a PS Vita can I play Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS3? Please?

No.
I think a Vita will be well worth the investment when the PS4 comes out. Details have yet to be discussed but it appears you can play every ps4 game on your vita via remote play.

The Vita is a pretty awesome little machine. I got one a while ago and I love it.

Definitely. A friend of mine has one, and it is a very nice little system. And I agree that it'll be awesome with the PS4 with remote play, etc. I don't really have a need (or time) for another gaming machine though!

I'm planning on picking one up in a few months probably too. Seems like I will have more than enough to play with Playstation Plus.

The best games on the Vita have already been made available for free for PS+, so it's pretty awesome (Gravity Rush, Uncharted, Virtue's Last Reward)
Fallout 3 arrived yesterday! But with the holiday week and family obligations, I don't think I'll be able to dive into it until next week. I also got PS+ this week, so that is a...plus.
after picking up the disc a couple months ago, i finally got around to playing and finishing 'the walking dead' episodic game (not the one that recently came out to horrible reviews).
damn, what a game. i was far more emotionally invested in the characters here than anyone on the actual show, and actually teared up a bit at the end. i'm not sure a video game has ever done that to me before. part of that, i am sure, was that i played the game intending to be as "good" as i could be, though there were a few times where the response selections were too vague to know what the real content/tone of the response would be and i ended up selecting a choice i didn't really intend to. and there were other mechanics issues that bothered me at times. but overall i really felt like this game was a fun and refreshing playthrough, and i'm looking forward to replaying it with different goals in mind. i understand that the endpoints are basically the same, but i'm real curious to see how taking a different approach alters my experience.

I had a similar experience with that series. You may want to check out the new episode of it that came out yesterday. It is apparently a prequel to season 2. I'm planning on playing it sometime within the next week or two.
