I've seen them twice back in the day and they were too jammy for my tastes. But if you're into each song turning into an 11-minute marathon, have at it!
yeah I saw them about 2 years ago. I enjoyed it but I'm just not sure if I'm in the mood for it. They definitely get your moneys worth but I'm guessing I will know maybe 4 of the songs seeing they are playing a lot of new stuff. It won't sell out so if I have nothing better to do.

I picked up copy of the Lost Crowes double cd. I'm loving these alternate takes on the Amorica tracks. Hi Head Blues is such a cool riff. The Amorica versions I generally better because they feel a bit looser and more lived in but it's rad hearing some of these tracks earlier on.

I have this band's greatest hits CD. I enjoy a solid third of it!

On my ride in today a live version of Remedy came on from 1995. What a glorious song. Such an underrated riff. I never see it mentioned when people talk about great riffs but it's one of my faves.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

The problem with that is it only goes through '99.

They made a top 3 record in 2009 (Before the Frost). And Warpaint is quite good as well.

You get me. i love you.

though if you just dont like basic rock n roll, which i can't believe KD would, you probably just wont like the crowes. I dont know. I fucking love them. I miss them.

Any straight-up rock & roll fan (in the vein of Stones, Faces, the Band, etc) can't go wrong with any of the following three...
Southern Harmony
Amorica
Before the Frost

Before The Frost has to be on vinyl to get the full effect.

I'm not going to deny my love for Before the Frost and Warpaint but let us not forget 3 Snakes. Lots of great stuff on that album. Girl from a Pawnshop is one of my favorites from them.

And yes Before the Frost on vinyl is much better for how it incorporates the Until the Freeze songs. I actually like those songs though. With Warpaint I really only go back to Josephine, Wee who see the deep and Locust Street on the reg but none of them are bad songs. I think seeing Whoa Mule live so many times actually made me dislike it somehow. On the other hand, songs like Evergreen and Walk Believer Walk came across so much better live. Damn what a great live band. Thinking I'll probably never hear an epic My Morning Song or Wiser Times again kind of makes we want to cry.

Bugs did you listen to the whole CRB album yet? If so what did you think? I have heard a couple songs and liked them but wasn't blown away.

Gotta add in track 6 which might be the best song on the album... Locust Street.

I've just purchased Warpaint online, but I mistakenly bought Warpaint live first by mistake. I hope it's as good as you guys say otherwise I've got 2 albums from that era

Haha not sure it's worth a double-purchase so you'll have to grade it on a curve. Also, don't forget to put it in context of a band that hadn't put out a record in 7 years after taking a long hiatus.

Nevertheless, it's good shit man.

Yeah I'm sure it'll be good. I had a brief listen on u-toob and was into it. I haven't really gone deep in the post-90's stuff and only really started digging in early this year. Was very much just a "best of" kinda guy like KD before that. But am really feeling it, especially Amorica and 3 Snakes. The tunes Wiser Time and Morning Song blow me away everytime too. Will be interesting to spend some time with the 2000's stuff. Are there any good bio's on the band? A brief look only seemed to bring up guitar tab books.
