One of my all time favorites.
I tried reading it once. I found the prose style challenging. I should try it again.

It seems like Laika is the only studio keeping the candle of creepy, mature movies for kids burning. Really excited for Kubo and the Two Strings.

Coraline is the only movie I've ever seen in a cinema while stoned, and it blew me away. I'm too nervous to watch it again in case I don't like it as much sober.

I'm not crazy about Coraline, but ParaNorman is great.

Opposite reaction for me. Though I still enjoyed ParaNorman.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm not crazy about Coraline, but ParaNorman is great.

I've been trying to get my kids to watch Paranorman for years. They've built it up in their heads as the scariest movie of all time.

Coraline is one of my favorite movies of all time. And yes, The Little Prince was very enjoyable.

Saw Captain Fantastic tonight. Wonderful film. Timely and thoughtful without being preachy or overbearing. Certainly not a message movie. Quite the opposite. Lot of depth and Considered writing. Cast were all excellent. The kids they found were just perfect. Intelligent and commited. Viggo Mortensen owns the role as always. And the story plays out in an unexpected but organic way. Highly recommend it.

The Q&A with Viggo afterwards was awesome. He's a very deep intelligent and funny man.

Watching World's Greatest Dad because it popped up in my Netflix queue. So far it feels more like a Bobcat Goldthwait skit than a movie.
