I'll strongly consider anything with Reilly. I'll try to avoid Ferrell as much as possible.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I will watch anything with Will Ferrell and/or John C. Reilly

That simply isn't true, friend. Not by a country mile. He's certainly not an actor. And he's barely comic. I would entertain an argument that he's the single most overrated noun of our time.LoathedVermin72 wrote:He's the single greatest comic star of our time, Joey.durdencommatyler wrote:I'll strongly consider anything with Reilly. I've liked a few things Ferrell has done. Stranger Than Fiction is fantastic. Really brilliant film. And he was outstanding on The Office. What else... ? Old School, maybe?

Why does durden hate comedy? Why does he hate to laugh? He's the real board pessimist.

Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
I'm obviously over exaggerating because it's funny and it's what I do. But I've never been a big Will Ferrell fan. I have liked a few things he's done but mostly I just don't care for him. But he makes people laugh and that's a pretty cool thing. I'll never begrudge the guy his success. He's got something that people seem to respond to. I'm just usually one of those people.Monkey_Driven wrote:I can understand why people are tired of his shtick, but Team LV here.LoathedVermin72 wrote:He's the single greatest comic star of our time, Joey.durdencommatyler wrote:I'll strongly consider anything with Reilly. Elf is also great. And that's probably the best performance he's ever given. It's a great movie and he's actually great in it. That might be my favorite thing he's ever done.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
It's a pretty stupid movie with a couple of truly fantastic scenes. I do not care for Will Ferrell in that movie. That's a good example of what I hate about him, actually. Paul Rudd is good. Steve Carell is amazing. And Jack Black damn near steals the movie in that one scene with the dog.
