i'd be interested in hearing lv's opinion of bale as batman (he's my favorite too, btw)

I don't hate Bale as Batman. He's fine. Serviceable. Forgettable. I think he makes little impression in the role.

Just as Batman; I think Bale is a very compelling actor in general. I just don't think Nolan or Goyer found much for him to explore in that role.
