Tried watching Batman vs Superman again last night, this time the extended cut. I got 90 mins in and had to turn it off. I really wanted to give it a second chance but after an hour I realised nothing had really happened, and I was bored to tears.

Jesse Eisenberg's Lex was truly awful, I don't know what he was going for but he failed spectacularly. Just came off as annoying and the weird noises he kept making felt forced. Cavill is a truly dull Clark Kent/Superman, and I don't know why Affleck is getting so much praise because he was forgettable as well. He's not a bad actor, but he brought nothing new to the role. Perfectly serviceable, but that's it. He looked awkward and goofy in the costume too.

Anyway, I needed a long shower to wash that mess off me last night. This morning I watched Creed for the first time and I really enjoyed it. Stallone puts in a nice, understated performance and I think they did a good job of providing that feeling of history and a long life lived through Rocky. Good stuff.

Going to see Suicide Squad tonight. I don't know why I do this to myself.

I've been wanting to watch a lot movies lately but I've been consumed by Olympic coverage! Sucks. I also have no idea what to watch. :|

Ruddo, I don't know how many times I can say this... it's not on a Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Watched The Witch not too long ago. It's not really a horror film, more of a supernatural folktale with creepy moments. The first half is slow but the pacing picks up in the second half. I thought it was mostly good but did not like the ending. I was not expecting the King James-type dialogue but supposed that keeps with the 1600s setting. The two older children were both really good in their roles but not sure if I'd watch again

Eh. Pretty underwhelming. Anything having to do with their art as a first amendment issue was the best stuff. The rest felt downright procedural, like the picked every notable event and song and just said, "Ok, let's just hit all those notes chronologically." I don't think it told me a single thing about these guys I didn't already know, and I was a casual fan at best. Maybe more fun for someone who wasn't consuming this music when it was happening?
