You bet. I need to play it too but I'm not sure if I can make the beta.tragabigzanda wrote:Thanks MD. Downloaded last night, just played a couple rounds. Gameplay is smooth AF, and instantly fun. Probably more fun co-op with a friend (with headsets, I mean). But I can see the online play getting old in less than a year. Wish we got a peak at the campaign mode in this demo. Color me very interested in a purchase, but will wait to find out more about the campaign.
Also, I'm sick of FPSs that don't let you switch your shoulder. Makes such a huge difference when shooting around a corner.

I'm starting to get back into Fallout. DLC is kind of fun. I built a robot named Vulcan. It has a laser arm and a flamethrower arm.

I'm waiting for the last DLC to drop to jump back in. Hearing good things about the game with all of the dlc they've added.
Picking up the new Deus Ex game today. Can't wait.

Hearing good things about Deus Ex. Kind of forgot it even existed until I saw some reviews this week. Let us know your thoughts on the game once you get in a few hours.jwfocker wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:I'm starting to get back into Fallout. DLC is kind of fun. I built a robot named Vulcan. Were you able to get into Titanfall 2 at all? I really enjoyed it, played some more on Sunday. Still skeptical about the long-term playability. The pilot gameplay is pretty fun and slick, but the titan gameplay feels pretty button-mashy to me. Also, the grapple weapon takes up one of your item slots, but it's so foundational to the game -- you're at a complete disadvantage without it. Any other items that could go in that slot are rendered useless (and they can't be equipped in another slot). Overall build of the game seems great, but some of the choices they've made are funny.Monkey_Driven wrote:I'm starting to get back into Fallout. DLC is kind of fun. I built a robot named Vulcan. I wasn't home this weekend unfortunately. I plan to be home most of Sunday. I plan to check it out then.tragabigzanda wrote:Were you able to get into Titanfall 2 at all? The new Deus Ex is awesome but a bit more subtle than most games I've played. I'm dying a lot.
Stealth seems to be the best option but I'm still learning how to incorporate that style. Every objective looks like it has multiple avenues to accomplishing the same task.

That sounds great. Dishonored was one of my favorite games of last generation for this very reason.jwfocker wrote:The new Deus Ex is awesome but a bit more subtle than most games I've played. I'm dying a lot.

"Immersive Sims", they're called, and they're probably my favourite game genre overall.Monkey_Driven wrote:That sounds great. They're certainly up there for me. It helps to have meticulously crafted, confined levels too. I think MGS V got old for me because there wasn't enough effort put into the level design.ABNorman wrote:"Immersive Sims", they're called, and they're probably my favourite game genre overall.Monkey_Driven wrote:That sounds great. The game world isn't super huge but it's compact and dense.
Immersive sims are blowing up right now - Dishonored 2, Dues Ex Mankind divided, Prey, System shock 3. Sounds like the horse power of consoles and pc's are allowing game designers to push the envelope on this genre.

For whatever reason I couldn't get into itnumbers wrote:I'm still playing UFC2 pretty regularly, best sports game in a long time.
I thought the Tapout system was impossible.. I could knock people out here n there, but I felt like you had to work so hard to do it, as opposed to the old one I had where it can happen any given moment like an actual fight
I didn't think the game was bad (like I thought we 2k was bad), I just couldn't get into it

Looks like they got some good feedback on necessary tweaks to Titanfall 2. Hopefully the HUD changes will take care of the Titan battles feeling like a button-mash fest.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
They did an update that made the KO's a lot more realistic. The submission system is really, really, hard. I've tapped someone I think 3 times in all this time playing it.i got bugs wrote:For whatever reason I couldn't get into itnumbers wrote:I'm still playing UFC2 pretty regularly, best sports game in a long time.
