Superunknown Live at Webster Hall

Post by ImOnTheInternet »

Hi,

I know at one point I listened to a soundboard recording of Soundgarden doing Superunknown front-to-back. It was the show in NYC at Webster Hall where they charged 19.94 per ticket.

I have damn near lost my mind trying to find this. Does anyone know where this recording is hiding? I'm pretty sure it aired on SiriusXM at one point, but that's not where I would have heard it.

THanks

There are three instances of them playing Superunknown in its entirety (well, 2 - at the third they skipped "Half" due to time constraints).

I can post all three if desired; two are in FLAC and the Webster Hall show is mp3.

Wow. Whichever you'd recommend. I'm pretty sure I heard Webster Hall previously, but any would be great

Matt Reeder, it's times like these when I'm glad there isn't a good Soundgarden fan board so you're forced to stick around here and share your SG knowledge.

I prefer the 3/13/2014 show at the iTunes festival. The video was posted on DIME not long after the show, from which I was able to extract audio. It isn't truly lossless, but don't complain, it's as good as it gets. I've also posted the Webster Hall audio, which I've only ever been able to find in mp3 format.

I'm listening to some of this 3-13 show, and I just do not know how I feel about Cornell's live singing.

At the time of the recording the man was nearly 50 years old. Give him a break. If you want a full version of Superunknown live with "proper" singing, download 3/23/1994, 6/17/1994 and 8/27/1995 and mix them together.

Considering his age, how he sounded a decade ago and how demanding those songs are to sing, I'm consistently blown away by how good Chris sounds these days.
