I'm sure that GIF has been used on here before, however I was just trying to find some kind of picture of a koala drinking coffee and lo and behold, it came up.

You're right, $20 ain't much but it's all PJdollars.Birds in Hell wrote:Last non-festival tour here (2009), I think the only benefit 10C membership gave was early entry into GA.CopperTom wrote:It would allow you to get GA.LetMeSleep wrote:Is Ten club membership worthwhile for Australia shows? It's only $20 or whatever it is for the digital membership, so I guess it's not some huge outlay, but at the same time I think it's unlikely they'll go back to playing indoor venues here (as much as I'd like that).
I feel this may be an indoor tour with multiple Syd and Melb shows. I'm angling for some travelling this time but will have to chat that one out.

Re: 2017 Tour Rumors
They usually do single shows in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Sydney and Melbourne usually get 2-3 each. And NZ gets 1 or 2 shows. 8-10 show tour.

And it's Brisbane for Zeb, Adelaide for Spenno (and Tim I think), Perth for Bloke, Sydney for Ridley and me and the rest are Melbourne shows (wtob and fuzz have to travel from Tasmania).

What's the best city to visit? This would probably be my one and only trip to Australia, ever.

It depends. All nice places. Would you be doing any thing else or just PJ?CopperTom wrote:What's the best city to visit? This would probably be my one and only trip to Australia, ever.
Melbourne is a great city. I love it. Sydney is good too. If PJ play AdelaideEnt Cent then that could be the pick of the gigs, size wise.

Re: 2017 Tour Rumors
Melbourne has character and lots of great lil places to discover. It's cosy and welcoming. It has a warmth and charm to it. It's No Code.
Sydney is shinier and has all the classics. It's Ten. big hooks and showing off. It'll suck you off if you went to the right school and have a decent property portfolio.
If you come all the way out here you should do 8-10 days with 1 city and 1 side trip to maybe Ayers Rock or Great Barrier Reef. Or if you went to Melbourne take a two day drive to Adelaide to see more of the country.

Re: 2017 Tour Rumors
This analogy is right on. I spent most of my 4 months in Victoria, so I spent more time in Melbourne than Sydney, but nothing you or anyone else in America knows about Australia is there. Sydney has the harbor and the opera house. It's iconic. It's also got Bondi Beach. I'd spend 3 or 4 days there. Most of your trip should be the "side trip." I never went to Uluru. I'm sure it's magical, but it was too out of the way. Plus we have the Grand Canyon and El Capitan and a bunch of other cool rock formations. What we don't have is the greatest natural wonder on Earth. Get your diving certification and go to the GBF. It's beyond description. Fly from Syd to Cairns. They have a rainforest as well. Oh man, I wish I could go back!LetMeSleep wrote:Melbourne has character and lots of great lil places to discover. It's cosy and welcoming. It has a warmth and charm to it. It's No Code.
