Re: Election 2016
I mean maybe it isn't an "accomplishment" but it certainly belongs on her resume as she was a highly active first lady regardless of what title she held during his presidency. She was the point person on the failed healthcare reform of '93-'94. She has 8 years of very high level executive experience so I think that belongs on the list for sure. It is a padded list, but I don't think anyone's issue with Hillary is that she's inexperienced or doesn't have an impressive resume.E.H. Fair enough. Accomplishments may not be the word. First Lady isn't an accomplishment, but it is public service. Especially, the way she first ladied.E.H. Ruddock wrote:And like Burt said, that is a very padded list.
Trump's public service list still includes one item.
- Raised money for veterans earlier this year and actually donated it to veterans after the press figured it out that he had been keeping the money for himself.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

How good do you feel about a candidate that despite working or living in the public sector for their entire life, somehow managed to amass enough wealth to reside in the top .02% of the country?
Think that person is looking out for you?
Has a bit more of a plutocratic feel to me.

Honestly, I feel way better about that than someone who's gone bankrupt three, four times and possibly is broke right now.
But then this isn't about money, it's about who's more qualified.

Re: Election 2016
The thing that blows my mind is how gaggles of rednecks and elderly religious people make the soft-spoken Obama out to be Satan Incarnate and the worst president we've ever had, but also think that the political equivalent of Andrew Dice Clay is the only answer to this "reign of terror".
The pillars of morality, the same people who complain non-stop about aborted fetuses, immigrants and gay people are the same people who think that a guy who mocks cripples, calls women fat pigs, curses freely and makes all of his "products" outside of the US is exactly what we need. I've even heard people say, "He says unacceptable and crazy things, but we need a president right now who is not a nice person".
Never has the inherent racism and complete stupidity of the American public been on such full display, and never has my mind been so full of fuck. I sincerely hope that this is the beginning of the end of that, but the only way these people will ever "learn" is if we actually elect him, so we are probably screwed either way.

it won't be a lesson learned
there will always be many, many stupid people
potentially more and more of them as they are the ones procreating (see: Idiocracy)
they key here is to just accept that you can't make a difference and when the end is nigh ensure that you have a butcher knife and an ice cream scooper on hand so that you can properly decapitate your neighbor and feast on the sweet innards within

I don't get why people project so much of their own prejudicial opinions about American voters onto Trump. His appeal is obvious. Every president in our lifetime has been a warmongering globalist, and yes plutocrat, who has stopped giving two shits about the voters the moment they won their election. First and foremost, Trump is not like them, and for a huge number of voters who are sick tired of being called stupid or racist for actually wanting their president to put their nation first, it makes his complete unfitness for the job irrelevant.
