I know several latino Trump supporters. Some are even related to me.

But yeah, it's not inaccurate to say that his base is overwhelmingly white.

How is that relevant to your claim, either way?

what are you saying? It's relevant to the "supposed" direction the country goes forward in. Do you want an openly racist and idiotic man leading a group of like minded people? I don't. See I can't do anything about how a large part of the society thinks, but I can sure see the danger in that particular outcome.

explain better because I don't understand what you're looking for with that question.

He believes your statement comes with the assumption that every middle aged white man that supports trump is definitely racist.

I cant say that is true, but if you support trump, i then believe that you support a form of bigotry and racism.

No country in history approaches anything close to enlightenment being led by idiots with big mouths

Or you consider his other "plans" as more important to you than his bigotry. Is it better to have a bigot that opposes the job-killer TPP and wants to actively stop illegal immigration? To some people the answer is yes, even if they are disgusted by some of his comments. That doesnt make them subhuman trash.

what a great leader he'll be, bankrupt how many times and raised on a fortune his father made. I'm sure he'll get sooo much accomplished. But hey, he can damn sure get rid of them Mexicans, eh.

Are your relatives rich? Rich people usually agree with other rich people. That crosses all ethnicities

I'm willing to bet his middle class white guy supporters think they'll be rich one day, and trump being in office will help further that goal for them. It's a problem being raised in the US, everyone thinks they'll be rich one day so they go for what they perceive as a shared common interest with trump.

Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

See: every other American presidential candidate, ever.

But you're right. What is inaccurate, is citing their motivations for preferring him over Hillary as being overwhelming race or class motivated.

Shit, I'm about as socially liberal as it gets and I think the talking points from the left are absolutely asinine.

Yes, he has attracted racist white guys and gals, but that is not why he won the Republican primary in a landslide and it is not why he continues to threaten the Clinton's aspirations for WORLD DOMINATION.

Agreed. Well, it's not the only reason and not the biggest either.

I guess I should've said "even more overwhelmingly white than usual".

enlightenment? You think the US of A is in danger of wandering off of the path of enlightenment?

Is there an enlightened segment of our country, or more pertinently our government, that I have sorely missed?
