Here's a youtube video from 2010.

It sounds a little clearer, but I can't tell that they've done anything particular to this track.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

'black cat' is not a track that should be celebrated in any form

maybe to fill air time at these shows these guys can write a few new songs together

that would be cool

assuming they don't suck

Temple of the Dog first came together to pay tribute to Andy Wood, so maybe they should murder Ed and write new songs in tribute to him.

You got that right, I had high hopes that they enhanced the quality somehow so they're at least listenable in the fucking car.

I never cared for Black Cat anyway, but Angel On Fire is pure gold.

i can't believe they are promo-ing this song like this.

maybe they will re-tool it live and it will be interesting

but this recording sounds like something a kid makes in their bedroom

If you A/B them, you'll spot a few differences, but the new mix is mostly faithful to the original.

Examples:

1) The new mix is more centered. In the original, the intro guitar is more to the left, and there's more separation between Stone and Mike's guitars. There's also less stereo separation in Matt's kit - everything is closer together.

2) Cornell's vox after Eddie comes in feel like they're a little bit lower in the mix and have less reverb than the original.

3) There's more compression across the board, though that's partly given the differences in mixing and mastering in 25 years. (The original's mastering is super-quiet compared to almost any other major rock record that followed it.)

Honestly, I thought this would be a lot worse, but it's not bad. The only thing that bugs me is the difference in Cornell's vox - they felt more equal to Eddie's in the original, and more expansive because of the reverb. (A couple of Matt's longer fills feel a little bit off to me, too - the closeness makes me feel like the parts collide more now.)

I have to admit - the video isn't much, but I love that they had enough outtake footage to piece together something new/different.

So basically, Johnson and May spent Trump's presidency fighting each other over how best to sell the NHS to Trump.

I was just pondering upgrading my package, but why is the Super Deluxe $80 more than the Deluxe CD? That's a big mark up for a Blu Ray and a DVD.

I don't know if that's a sarcastic or a real answer. Are audio blurays expensive?

Kinda.

Beck is $25.

Nirvana is $25.

Tears for Fears is $20.

Rush is $23.

So not cheap, but top-shelf compared to buying a CD.
