Affleck has played the character in one ensemble movie, where 80% of his screen time was spent making silent sad faces while staring just to the right of the camera, and most of the rest was just generic superhero lines/posturing. I wouldn't even bother trying to compare him to people who had to carry a solo movie, let alone a series thereof.

It's been a LONG time since I've seen either Kilmer or Clooney, but I think everyone who has ever played Batman on the big screen (post west) has been good, and appropriate for the movie they are in. Clooney would have been horrible in BvS or the Nolan movies, but Affleck and Bale would have been just as out of place in a campy batman

Yeah, I agree.
yup. He has potential, but it's too early to compare, especially to Bale or Keaton, who had hours of screentime

Go back and watch Batman and Robin. Clooney is a disaster.

I think the first time I got disappointed with the choice of actor for Batman was when Val Kilmer put on the batsuit. He really didn't fit that role at all.
Clooney was a horrible Batman, but he played Bruce Wayne alright

I mean, Clooney IS Bruce Wayne. So it makes sense. Especially in a movie that's kind of a joke.
When ER started I saw Clooney and said he'd make a great Batman. When they cast him I was like "see I called it" but after the movie came out I stopped taking credit.

Clooney is the Bruce Wayne that Bruce Wayne projects to the public
