Whoever produces Camerons drums with soundgarden really ought to be on hand for PJ sessions. They sound so great with soundgarden.

Adam Kaspar produced KA. Also Riot Act. So there you go.

I'm fairly certain Kaspar isn't to blame for S/T. None of the other records he's worked on sound that bad and those leaked unmastered tracks sound great. It's just a brutal mastering job.

I hope they remaster the whole thing in a few years. I remember Jeff saying he was really let down when he heard the final mix.

It was an interview around the time Avocado was put out...he said he was really impressed with his work with Matt but the unmastered tracks were way better than the final mix.

Can anybody tell me who mastered avocado? Neither wiki nor discogs can.

I checked the CD, there's no mastering credit.

I don't recall anyone in the band commenting about the production of S/T - or any of their records for that matter, sound quality doesn't seem to be a topic that engages them to any great degree.

Good luck with that. A friend of mine had a discussion with Vedder about the sound quality of their releases, and he couldn't have been more out of his element. He wasn't even sure what compression means.

You would be surprised how many musicians are completely clueless when it comes to that stuff.
