I'd love to hear DOTU on vinyl. On about half of those songs, everything sounds just a little too clean and smooth, like the guitars have no edge.

I agree that the second half can sort of plod along but Bleed Together always seemed like a throwaway to me. It sounds too much like 80s hair metal.

If you have the MFSL versions, yes they do! All their pressings sound great. But those versions are insanely good, among the best sounding records I have.

Some really great records there. Have you listened to Time Fades Away yet? I'm mildly obsessed with it. Neil has gone on record that he hates it, and a lot of fans tend to agree. But for my money, I'd say it's an easy lock for top 5 Neil albums of all time. Top 3 even, if it's the right day.

Haven't gotten to Time Fades Away yet but Tonights the night sounds absolutely amazing. They dont make records like that anymore.

I really enjoy TFA. Always have. I look forward to a night alone with it

One spin on in the background while grilling. Sounds a lot like Wilco's recent solo album. In my opinion, he sounds bored. Star Wars was fantastic and this is definitely the other side of that wilco.

So Schmilco sounds like the Tweedy album? Because I liked that way better than Star Wars. Either way I fear the days of Tweedy just writing the shit out of a song and blowing me away are long gone. I still remember the first time I heard Misunderstood, Via Chicago, ect.
