As someone who has attending an SEC game on his bucket list, I wouldn't care if the foe I got was some I-AA scrub. How many Bama games have you been to?
not a lot - this is probably my ninth or tenth

i've been to three auburn games as well

I'm going down to Baton Rouge for the LSU/Mizzou game this year, even though I know Mizzou is going to get creamed. I cannot wait to go.

I love going to the games of my favorite team, more so than watching them on TV.

My boss gave me a ticket to every home South Carolina game this year. Only problem is I don't know any of the people in the seats next to me. May try and go to the A&M or Tennessee game though.

It certainly helps when you live two miles from the stadium.

are you guaranteed tickets since you work for the school?

I have discounted season tickets. The parents of a good friend tailgate right next to the stadium and they have a portable satellite to watch other games. It's a great situation. I doubt I would have season tickets if I lived further than an hour away or so.

I've always had a pretty good time tailgating in the fairgrounds outside. I've never had a ticket and didn't really know anyone. I think you would have fun anyway if only for people watching and double entendre.

It's different at each place you go really GH. I'd hope where ever you went, you had a good host.

To me Georgia is fun in the mornings tailgating, you've got the Grove at Ole Miss. LSU is just a beautiful campus and it's just different for night games. Tennessee has the Vol Navy, Vandy is in a beautiful neighborhood in Nashville. I've never really been around TTown for Alabama but I do think it's different depending on who you're with. Never been to Florida, I assume it's just insanely muggy.

For the most part, everyone has good fans, the alumni are generally all very polite and friendly and gracious with food and booze. I usually have horrible tickets at Georgia but it's still fun, that said, There are always drunken idiots, everyone in the world has drunken idiots but I don't let that bother me. Georgia probably has the weakest in stadium atmosphere in the SEC for a major player too many old alumni too close to the field and the students leave at halftime because it's typically more fun outside. Tailgating world class, in stadium... meh.

I've been lucky enough to have 50 yardline seats at Clemson and Ohio State and had an amazing time at both. I almost feel like going to a game is 3 parts, pregame tailgating, game and then postgame tailgating/bars.

One of the most fun football times I've ever had in my life was in 2003 or 2004 whenever it was Georgia blew out LSU in Athens, I got there at 7:30 AM or so and went until the bars close.

Whichever city you go to, I hope they win on that day. If they win it's the best ever, if they lose, it's dead. Point is you can't just choose 1.

Not really, I just wander around and make friends, if they offer I graciously accept. Most people cook way more than they need. At LSU, I mean they have 10 gallon pots of gumbo and dirty rice, they don't want it going to waste.

Starting the fifth year in the SEC I've been to Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt (twice), Texas A&M, Georgia, and South Carolina. LSU this year and definitely Alabama in two years. All were fun in their own ways. Ole Miss was kind of a disappointment based on how hyped it was. The town is super tiny and and their liquor laws are really weird.
