I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

We're making our way thru the Harry Potter films. We've only ever seen the first one and that was in the theater when it first came out.

I still think PoA is the best of the films. But I have zero issue with anything Yates did with his films.

I hadn't watched Young Frankenstein since I was about ten years old until I watched it today. I know that my reaction at that age was, "This is boring," and that it felt like the humor was going over my head. Through the years I've become familiar with most of the movie's major beats through cultural osmosis (like Puttin' on the Ritz), but I've never actually sat down to re-watch it. What surprised me most about it was how silly most of the verbal comedy is--bad puns, plays on words, funny accents, weird sayings. But as with Brooks' best films, the really good stuff comes from subtle physical comedy and from silence. The way Wilder inserts pauses and gives looks is just as funny as any one-liner; not surprised I missed that as a kid.

Dont Breathe.

Well, i had a blast. Yeah, its villain is really far fetched, the characters are not well written and the story is weird..but, its cinematic as hell, and really fun.

I've never been a huge Potter fan. I've always thought the whole Potter thing was a bit meh, but I went to the Making of Harry Potter at Warner Bros. studios this week in London and it was unbelievable. It really made me want to watch them all again.

We watched Goblet of Fire before we went and I quite enjoyed it. I personally think the later films are stronger, so David Yates is cool with me :)

I might watch a couple of them over the weekend.
