I played a virtual boy game once. It was terrible.tragabigzanda wrote:I played AVR game at the mall in St. Louis around 1990. My eyes will burn like crazy sometimes. I rarely play longer than an hour or two at a time though.
I'm a little nervous that VR will make me nauseous. Has anyone played a VR game?

Has anyone ever bought DLC that doesn't work?

Nope, but I did have to get a refund for my PS4 Spotify app when it auto-renewed beyond the free trial. Email got me nowhere; a five-minute phone call got me a refund. Maybe that's helpful?LoathedVermin72 wrote:Has anyone ever bought DLC that doesn't work?

I might have to do that. But it cost $50 and only some of it doesn't work, so I don't know. Ugh.tragabigzanda wrote:Nope, but I did have to get a refund for my PS4 Spotify app when it auto-renewed beyond the free trial. Email got me nowhere; a five-minute phone call got me a refund. Re: The all inclusive video game thread
I can't play 1st person shooters at all. Not even for a minute or two without feeling deathly ill. I can play third person games but those still bother me just not as bad. It took me a month of playing Uncharted 4 multiplayer before the nausea went away completely. I play it everyday just to keep my motion sickness immunity in shape even if I don't feel like it. If I take a few days off its back again. Sport games and 2D side scrollers don't bother me at all. I imagine thats for everyone.tragabigzanda wrote:I was playing a few nights ago, and right as I hit the 2-hour mark I got an extreme case of motion sickness. Doesn't happen often, but after a long day spreadsheeting, I guess my eyes had enough.BurtReynolds wrote:yeah. It's a lot worse in games where the depth of field is off. Half Life 2 made me throw up. i thought i was crazy, but apparently other people had the same problem.Monkey_Driven wrote:BurtReynolds wrote:or any first person game. Or 3rd person. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. Nearly done with this, probably about 4/5 of the way through. Man, the gameplay is fantastic, yet the story and dialogue are abysmal. The enemy AI is comically stupid.
It's a funny contrast to The Last of Us, in which the gameplay was solid, but the story and dialogue were amazing.

At this point I'm convinced The Last of Us is the most overrated game ever made. Either that or some shit by Obsidian.

I mean, if you played the game and didn't love it, who am I to argue? But it got its hooks in me once we got out of Boston, and it didn't let go until the thrilling conclusion.LoathedVermin72 wrote:At this point I'm convinced The Last of Us is the most overrated game ever made. We should invent our own new video game console. Can't be that hard, right?
