If the casserole is still good, I say finish it and save your money. Given your raise, I'm sure that a new dinner option looks especially attractive. Yet I urge you to avoid this common financial trap. Increased income should not necessarily generate increased spending.

there's a whole lot of that casserole left over, and i had it for dinner last night...the deli in a local grocery store has roast beef on sale through tomorrow that i was planning on purchasing anyway

What's the use-by date on that roast beef? I suspect either your casserole or the beef are getting tossed by Thursday.

i wouldn't buy the beef until tonight or tomorrow, so i'm imagining it's use by date should be at least 5-7 days...i may just freeze whatever's left of the casserole

I have never frozen a casserole and therefore defer to your best judgment.
