Hmmmm....
I'm not sure how I feel about it. I get what you're saying, trag. But I feel like it's almost always a bad sign when an artist goes back to the well. Especially after so much time has passed. Fuck it, I'll watch it.

I did not. Because I'm at work and I don't have sound on this computer. But I will watch it when I get home.tragabigzanda wrote:Did you watch the trailer? Predictably, the new Tom Ford movie looks stylish and lush and precise in its cinematography and art design but the dialogue and story sound dour and self-serious to the point of hilarity.

I was a big fan of A Single Man too, though.

He's an undeniable talent as a designer and visual stylist. I admire him a lot. But this movie looks a little ridiculous from the trailer. We'll see.

Yeah, it hooked me in all the right places. I get what you mean about the dialogue. But I think (hope) that's just weird pulls for the ad and not indicative of what's actually there in the movie. We'll say I'm cautiously optimistic about the dialogue. But you could be totally right.
The rest of it... yeah, I'm all in.

I don't understand that. Unless you're a liar and you've only seen three films. And the other two were Barton Fink and Birdman.LoathedVermin72 wrote:A Single Man was one of the most laughably awful movies I've ever seen.

Out of the thousands of movies I've seen, I've only ever given a handful of F grades. That's one of them.durdencommatyler wrote:I don't understand that.
