A Single Man was one of the most laughably awful movies I've ever seen.

I don't understand that. Unless you're a liar and you've only seen three films. And the other two were Barton Fink and Birdman.

Out of the thousands of movies I've seen, I've only ever given a handful of F grades. That's one of them.

That's literally the stupidest thing I've ever read.

I'm going to say definitely better than Hardy (which is certainly no insult to brilliant Tom Hardy). Not sure about Isaac yet. I think I'd still but Gosling above him but it's so close. The power of Blue Valentine alone probably gives him the edge.

I'm going to say definitely better than Hardy (which is certainly no insult to brilliant Tom Hardy). Not sure about Isaac yet. I think I'd still but Gosling above him but it's so close. The power of Blue Valentine alone probably gives him the edge.

i don't think he is...i saw half of blue valentine and really enjoyed it, just something came up and i never finished it...thought he was really good in half nelson and solid in lars and the real girl

i just don't buy him at all in these stoic, tough guy roles...he just seems to furrow his eyebrows and stare with a strange look on his face most of the time

i think hardy and isaac are both better and more versatile

I guess I just haven't seen enough of Hardy yet. When I stack up what I've seen him do next to what I've seen Ryan do... it's an easy call.

Isaac is much more difficult. That dude is fantastic and charming and electric in everything I've seen him in.

Blue Valentine, Lars, Half Nelson, Crazy Stupid Love and his Drunk 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' sketch are enough to cement Ryan Gosling, for me, as one of, if not the single best actor of his generation. And the trailer for La-La Land ....

Dude's a force.

oh man...you haven't seen any of what i consider his best work

bronson, locke, warrior, tinker tailor soldier spy (small role, but very good in it), the revenant...there's still a decent amount i haven't seen myself

Well, why pick one? they are both great. BUT....Tom Hardy...i mean, he is the only celebrity i know who played a masked villain and didnt take the fuckin mask ( do you understand fuckin will smith??).
