i grew up on this film...my mom and older sister loved it, so i saw it frequently as a child...i suppose i was too young and uneducated to truly understand the nazi aspect

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

WTF? Curtis Hanson? I LOVE THE FUCK OUT OF CURTIS HANSON. LA Confidential is my favorite movie, and even though he didn't do a ton of films, they're so diverse. In Her Shoes and Wonder Boys are amazing. 8 Mile is better than it has any right to be, and even Lucky You is pretty decent.

on the sunday between the wrigley pj shows we went to the comic con that was going on in the chicago suburbs. i'd never been to a comic con so it was cool to finally see what one was like. anyway, c. martin croker had a table on the exhibition floor. i was 10ft away from him and didn't say anything despite wanting to tell him how much i enjoyed his work. he was talking with someone at the time, but i could have waited. i didn't, and now i regret that immensely. :/
