Charmian Carr, the child actress best known as the oldest Von Trapp sister from The Sound of Music, died from complications from a form of dementia. She left the business as an adult and started a design company.
That movie always looked boring to me as a kid but I finally saw it I liked it a lot more than I ever expected.

i grew up on this film...my mom and older sister loved it, so i saw it frequently as a child...i suppose i was too young and uneducated to truly understand the nazi aspectBiff Pocoroba wrote:Charmian Carr, the child actress best known as the oldest Von Trapp sister from The Sound of Music, died from complications from a form of dementia. WTF? Curtis Hanson? I LOVE THE FUCK OUT OF CURTIS HANSON. LA Confidential is my favorite movie, and even though he didn't do a ton of films, they're so diverse. In Her Shoes and Wonder Boys are amazing. 8 Mile is better than it has any right to be, and even Lucky You is pretty decent.

on the sunday between the wrigley pj shows we went to the comic con that was going on in the chicago suburbs. i'd never been to a comic con so it was cool to finally see what one was like. anyway, c. martin croker had a table on the exhibition floor. i was 10ft away from him and didn't say anything despite wanting to tell him how much i enjoyed his work. he was talking with someone at the time, but i could have waited. i didn't, and now i regret that immensely. :/
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

Is anyone still watching the Simpsons? They had a joke about Homer and Karl Arnold Palmering Lenny. They had a squirt gun full of lemonade and another full of iced tea. Pretty impressive bit of timing on that joke.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:arnold palmer
