Anyone familiar with Kansas city bbq?

I'm in Kansas city with the family and my we're looking for a good barbecue place. Any suggestions?

i think thodoks works at joe's bbq..the one in a gas station..its good

Joe's Kansas City (formally Oklahoma Joe's; the one in the gas station) --- best bbq in the country/world
BB's Lawnside
Jack Stack (get the bbq baked beans)
Gates (get the burnt ends)

Can't go wrong with any of those.

some of us were very close to him, i thought...i'd hope if he had a problem with us he'd feel comfortable enough to address the situation with us instead of just running away
