From what I'm reading, it sounds like he could have done a different operation to return in a few weeks, but this operation will help more in saving his knee later in life. Might be the beginning of the end for his career.

To try to give you some more optimism, I can think of a team from last that had lingering QB and RB injuries that negatively impacted their play at time during the season, and also lost their LT for the year...
