Outtakes collections shouldn't count as albums! Just like Greatest Hits compilations aren't albums

Coda doesn't count, but Lightning Bolt sure does, and the album suuuuuuuuuucks.

I don't actually know anything about the background of Coda. It's the only Led Zeppelin "album" I haven't heard. What was the intention of the album? Was it more like Lost Dogs or more like Let it Be?

A couple of special cases:
The Clash
Smashing Pumpkins

Both of these are under the name of a once-great band, but produced by pretty much the lead singer, and not the rest of the band. So it's debatable as to whether they should could - I say yes.
