gotta love low-level regional political operatives in leadership positions

it's like 8 year olds playing pretend office and one of them is the "boss"

I love all of Trump's veiled warnings about how debate moderators better not be "unfair" by fact-checking him.

Pure class.

I don't see how these debates will be anything other than disaster for the Trump campaign.

I predict the moderator will say more than Hillary.

It's hilarious that Trump supporters are already claiming partisan bias and saying it won't be fair for Trump and the moderator is a fucking Republican. Jesus, he can't even get his facts right about the moderator.

Here are some interesting prop bets for the debate:
Will Donald Trump mention Bill Clinton?
Yes +120
No -160

Will Hillary Clinton say "deplorable"?
Yes +110
No -150

Will Donald Trump say "Crooked Hillary"?
Yes -200
No +150
I'd take the underdog on every one of these. There are going to be questions about Trump's charitable foundation and about the Clinton Foundation, so I think somewhere in talking about charity Trump will mention Bill by name (I wonder, though, if you'd get credit for that bet if he just referred to "her husband" or something like that). I think a more interesting bet would be if either candidate would mention the other's kids by name--if you gave me long odds on something like "Trump will mention Chelsea Clinton" or "Clinton will mention Ivanka Trump" (+800? +1000?) I might take them. Similar to the Bill thing, I think Clinton will use the word "deplorable" when answering a question about the comments she made; i.e., she'll say: "When I used the word 'deplorable,' what I meant was..." I'd also take the "No" on the "Crooked Hillary" line, because Trump will probably tone down the personal insults. I think the following is far more probable:
Will Donald Trump call Hillary Clinton a liar?
Yes -300
No +200
The only thing is, I wonder if you'd get credit for this if Trump said, "She's lying about..." without ever using the word "liar." If you could get credit either way, I'd go big on "yes."

He's backed off from calling her an "enabler," but it'll be interesting to see if it comes back with all of the ads her campaign is pushing highlighting his comments about women.

It will be interesting if he actually puts forth any ideas. Says anything coherent. puts forth an actual policy plan. Hillary may need to be the fact checker, but if she stays on point as a politician this should be an easy win for her.

Maybe he'll surprise us. Maybe this will be like the first Romney/Obama debate. Trump's no Romney, but I just mean in terms of an unexpected performance.

She should tweet at him in the middle of the debate. That will really get him off his rocker.

McTernan is an incompetent loon but I don't believe he's involved in the Democrat campaign.
I really hope you're right.
So basically, Johnson and May spent Trump's presidency fighting each other over how best to sell the NHS to Trump.

If I were running one of these, I would have elaborate video montages of quotes at the ready, in order to prevent Trump from turning it into a series of "I never said that; the media made that up" moments.
