The only MCU movie worth watching is the first Iron Man. Everything else is varying degrees of shit.

I'm certainly no Marvel fanboi or apologist or anything like that. But all of their movies (that I've seen) have been at worst mildly entertaining at the time if sort of forgettable in the long run, or a ton of fun and infinitely rewatchable.

Iron Man and Iron 3 chief among them. Winter Soldier is also a great action/spy film.

I loved Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 2.

And I have a soft spot for Guardians because it was the first movie I saw after my dad passed. That opening scene was brutal.

Interesting.

So you and Jorge both like IM3 and GotG quite a bit. I'm starting to get a bit more excited about watching it.

I can see that. Based on the previews I expected him to fair better in this than in other things.

God, I hated the Mandarin reveal. They had set him up so beautifully in the first one, it was a total let down.

Why do you say that? The real Mandarin hasn't even been revealed yet so it's still got that beautiful setup.

Is there a real Mandarin? All that seems to have vanished in the wake of the build-up to the Infinity Gauntlet movie.

The Mandarin twist is the only good part of IM3.

Sam Rockwell's character. He's in the same prison as Kingley's fake Mandarin.

And yeah, they hinted there was a real Mandarin, but that's apparently going nowhere now.
