I saw the Blair Witch last night.

Felt like more of a reboot.
Was basically the same movie as the first. Not too good

Biggest takeaway was how much technology has advanced since the first one. That was kind of neat.

Watched.....
The Pedge - was kinda cool, but the ended sucked!
Also finally got around to watching Hunt for the Wilderpeople - what a great film! I do wonder how well a lot of it would translate to an international audience though

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Tried to watch The Hallow a couple nights ago, but I stopped about a half hour into it because it was boring and dumb.

Also saw Three Colors: White for the first time. People generally seem to think it's the weakest of the trilogy, but I liked it a lot more than Red and a bit more than Blue.

He clearly typed "Pedge," which Urban Dictionary tells me is a slang term for the underside of a penis.

My guess is that the ending was disappointing because things didn't quite come to a head.

The Pledge is great and the ending is essential. It's one of my favorite endings ever.

I guess - I think I was just hoping for something different

I'm curious Verm - given that this movie seems to polarize people.....where do you stand on The Watchmen?

I think my problem with it is that they suddenly chucked in a character at the end that you've not known about previously - just seemed lazy.
Like what they did with The Bone Collector - that movie still pisses me off!

I love Zack Snyder, but I'm kind of in the middle on Watchmen. It has greatness in it, but I think its slavish devotion to the graphic novel holds it back a bit.

Its part of its greatness...that novel graphic was consider to be impossible to adapt to the big screen....and he actually did it.

I love Watchmen.

loved this one
I recommend it to everyone. It's such a charming movie.
I kept jokingly thinking to myself, "I wonder if Rhys Darby is in this?" Then he was.

Team The Pledge.

Though, I don't remember loving or hating the ending. *shrugs*

Great flick, though.
