My indecision is whether to vote or not since I don't like either of the candidates.

Yea, I think there are still a lot. Two different women called in to NPR last week (typically their listeners are progressives) who said as much; plus, after this weekend's drive from Big Sky to Seattle (12 hours each way), we were really struck by the lack of campaign signs or bumper stickers.
Signs don't vote.

In what universe is Illinois merely "leaning" Clinton?

I don't really like John Oliver but he did a good job with this one.

Also: special treat for Doug around the 9 minute mark.

I'm seeing a lot of 'for networks to say Hillary won she has to comprehensively beat him. For Trump to win he just has to not wipe shit all over his face'

Sad but true
I just want a moderator to call Trump out.

Will that happen though? I can see him just shouting over Hillary and the moderator.

And of course his support base will love that.

Maybe, who knows. It certainly won't portray him as being very "presidential" in the eyes of undecided voters.

They're both given the questions ahead of time though right?

I doubt he'll be able to as he doesn't seem to be capable of holding a single fact in his head but if they can school him and get him on point even slightly he'll be a danger. I can see him gettin frustrated early in and losing his cool all over the place.

Are they? In the past they have been given broad focus topics, but I don't think they get the questions ahead of time.

I have to watch. The potential train wreck this could be is a "not to be missed" event. Trump has never had to actually debate anyone before.

If the moderator doesn't fact check, then Hillary will be left to do it, and people will say she spent her time attacking Trump and refused to discuss her own ideas. Or she can leave the fact checking to tomorrow's media, in which case most people will never read it.

Meanwhile, Trump will smirk and snipe but literally gain voters just by not saying "cunt." And then he'll win the election, and the next time some radicalized person shoots up a mall he will announce that America is declaring war on radical Islam, and that any nation that refuses to allow our forces into their borders to pursue our enemy without hesitation or limit will be considered to have "sided" with radical Islam, and will therefore be treated as an enemy combatant. This attack on their state sovereignty at a very fundamental level will unite many middle eastern countries, with Russia moving to support its interests there and Europe caught between a humanitarian philosophy and increasingly fearful anti-Islam constituents. The resulting conflict will be catastrophic, and will spend all the capital and focus that could have helped us plan and prepare for tomorrow's changed climate, and we will all look back through the smoky haze or our burnt out dreams and think "Goddamn it Lester Holt. You have distorted the course of history by refusing to provide any journalistic integrity to your debate moderation." And then we will take our suicide pills and find a good place to watch our last sunset. Except for that one guy here who is a prepper. He'll be fine. He's got a Fitbit.
