I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The usual suspects, I guess: kids, men, relationships, aging, politics, Kardashians. But it all just seems to flow through her so naturally. It's like there's no thought or effort required (which I know isn't true; she's just talented). She did 90 minutes and the audience barely got a chance to catch their breath.tragabigzanda wrote:That's awesome. What sort of material is she doing these days?

Finished Norm's book. I'm embarrassed to say that for a while there I took it at face value. A section in the beginning left me pretty devastated. Then it took a left turn in to the sublimely stupid and I realized I had been had. It was pretty dumb in parts but I think that was the point. I laughed.

Michael Che has a show on Netflix. I enjoyed that quite a bit.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Is that the one connected to Century Link Field? That would be a horrible place for a show. I'm seeing him next month here in Portland - at least this one is at the Moda Center.tragabigzanda wrote:So I finally got to see Louis CK live the other night, in Seattle. He was every bit as funny as I had hoped...But this was easily the worst concert experience I've ever had. The venue (WaMu Theater) was like an airplane hangar filled to the brim with metal folding chairs; getting into the place was akin to a TSA screening at an airport, except with the added stress of enduring a heavy downpour while you removed all your metal objects into plastic buckets filling with rainwater, and ultimately feeling like they were covered in syphilis once you got them back. The place was hot, crowded, and it was completely impractical to get up once you found your seat. Such a shame -- had been looking forward to this night for several years now.

Is it the one that ends with an extended bit about a gorilla?BurtReynolds wrote:new bill burr is pretty funny.
It was playing on the background at a get-together and I sort of half-watched it but I really liked that bit
