Remember RM crashed a few times around backspacer?
Those were the days
God I hate that band. Not as much as I hate the xx but close.
I liked their first album a lot, but I was expecting a very disappointing second album of rehashed ideas, and I got one.

I'd like to think it is.
Sgt, those days are behind us. I'm bloodless this time:)
Until that fake double album tracklist was posted yesterday i hadn't even given that a thought, but now Im really kinda hoping that is it. Im not gonna be disappointed if its not though
I thought Mellon collie was a bloated affair at the time, and really there is one truly great long album there, but looking at it now I'm glad pumpkins did it and I can appreciate t as a whole.

C'mon Pj. Make it a double
Not that we have heard a lot of them recently, but in the past all of the pj non album tracks have been good, so i know they can make a good double album. With all the time between albums and the fact they kept saying they were about half done, i definitely think its possible
Based on statements about this one, its possible they have more songs/demos for this album than any other. And given the time(4 years?) it's a possibility however small.
They're far too precious though. And having to know say 30 new songs rather than 12-15 could be a block too.

Fuck I hope it's a double
x1,000
10 albums, and over 20 years are a couple of huge milestones. What better way to mark the occasion, by creating a whopper of a double. They've never done it before with a studio album, and I think all great bands need to make one at some point in their career.

I'd be excited for a double album because it means more music, but I think I'd prefer a single album with the best possible material, and hearing the other songs in a future b-sides release.

I think most people who want a double album would prefer that, they just don't think PJ can manage it.

How about something like use your illusion 1 & 2, didn't they come out a few months apart ? Though i don't see the reason for that, if you are gonna release it all then just do it as a proper double album

That's be interesting but they wouldn't so it simply cos g n r already have.
Plus a follow up so close sorta steals from the first I think.
