Re: Rank a Director's Filmography
But I totally get that I'm in the super minority regarding Goodfellas, and really Scorcese in general. I don't expect people to understand or agree with me on him and his filmography. I've made my peace with it.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: Rank a Director's Filmography
I guess I owe you since you watched Ghostbusters. But man... I really don't want to sit through this thing. A director I usually don't like making a movie about a subject that I can't stand, that makes me angry, that objectifies women, and features fucking Jonah goddamn Hill AND it's over 3 hours long?!VinylGuy wrote:You should. I'd rather get fucked in the balls by JJ Watt.

Blech. Fine. I'll get to it one of these days. I've got Lost River and Neon Demon on deck now, though. So, it'll be a while.VinylGuy wrote:There is actually a point in the movie. GoodFellas and Wolf of Wall Street are both masterworks. Shutter Island does suck, though.

Wolf is not a masterpiece. How do you come up with your opinions?

It's maybe, maybe Scorsese's best film.

No just to movies that portray a women as a hero/killer in a action flicks. I have nothing against movies about women in main roles in other dramas. That's allLoathedVermin72 wrote:Whoa whoa whoa we're all just moving past the objection to movies about women? What the melonhead?
