Laugh it up fuzzballs.

They've been with Lucasfilm for years and have been the gate keepers of canon since the prequels.

No, man, I'm with you. I get it. Those guys, Filoni especially is basically the heir apparent. He's more in charge and understands more about the shared Star Wars universe than George Lucas. He's a goddamn saint. And his word is final.

They've been there that long? I just thought they were someone Disney brought in after Lucas sold it.

Ok. I change my stance on them a bit. Saying Rex is in ROTJ still rubs me the wrong way tho.

Wease. They explain it themselves. Fascinating interviews both.

Leader of the clone troops and great friend of anakin and obi wan. Which you'd know if you'd kept watching clone wars. (Which does improve dramatically season two onwards by the way)

Interesting question posed by a fan to the Collider Movie Talk crew:

Over/under on Darth Vader appearing in the first 30 mins of Rogue One?

I only know him from Rebels.

If I've read Filoni's name anywhere, I've forgotten it.

I'm gonna say over, but I do think he'll show up fairly early.

Now, if there are fight scenes with him, I'm saying that'll be in the last act.

Middle of final act. Nowhere near the start.

He's one of the creators and executive producer of Rebels. He directed the Clone Wars animated film and was the supervising director of the Clone Wars show.

You don't think it's possible he's the one that kils Jyn's mom? I'm assuming Jyn's mom dies and dies early in the film, of course.

I meant read of him in an interview or something. I've never seen Clone Wars, but I totally dig Rebels. Has the perfect Star Wars feel. My animosity for him has subsided since learning he's been in for the long haul. I just assumed (incorrectly) that he was just some putz Disney put in charge.

I was wrong and I admit it.

No worries, champ. I'm just busting your chops a bit. I didn't know who was until relatively recently because I don't watch/read much about Star Wars other than the core live action films. I don't read the books, I don't watch the tv shows. So...

I'm fucking over the moon excited for Rogue One, though. It has a really strong chance to be my all time favorite Star Wars film.
