Don't Cry No Tears is perfect Neil.

I feel like that song seeped into Ed's Undone. Can anyone else hear it?

I'm really trying to convince my wife that we need to go see him in Telluride. I missed him last summer at Red Rocks and don't want to miss this chance!
I'm still contemplating this show as well

If you've never seen Neil, I suggest you just do it. He's amazing, he has terrific sound, and he typically delivers a killer set of every song you want to hear, plus a few new ones. I'm sure tix are expensive, but they are worth it. He probably won't be around for too much longer, and I can almost guarantee it'll be one of the best shows you'll ever see, provided that you are a fan of his catalog.
ive seen Neil plenty. A couple solo shows, one with Crazy Horse, and then a couple shows in 07 and 09. Super amazing and i definitely want to. its just expensive and takes a long time to get to Telluride, then adding housing on top of it...

And i dont want to hear monsanto.

The next Official Release Series boxset is coming in November (on RSD Black Friday, as usual). This time it's got:

Long May You Run
American Stars 'N Bars
Comes A Time
Rust Never Sleeps
Live Rust

It's the first time one of these boxes has had 5 releases instead of 4. I think I'm going to wait this one out a bit--the early-bird price on Bull Moose is $125, which is around what I paid for Box #2, and now you can get it for around $100. Good to see these continuing, though.

Is there anything post-Harvest in the Official Release Series that is being released on CD?

Doesn't seem like it, unfortunately.

All of Neil's albums (bar Time Fades Away) have been released on CD at some point however he started a new remastering campaign around the time of the first Archives box that began with his self-titled debut and only got so far as Harvest before petering out.

I think the releases have continued (to some degree) on Pono but no more CDs.

I can't find them for sale or anything on their release, so that's what I figured. As of last year, he's still releasing his Performance Series on CD.

I'd say that box is pretty mixed. Some of his best and worst in there.
The live albums are definitely the pick of this box, and I've already got pretty good copies of them, which is also what's making me hesitate. This one is basically Dollar Bin: The Boxset.

None of those albums are among Neil's worst, in my opinion. In fact I love all of them except for the Stills-Young one, and that is merely downgraded from love to like because of the Stills tunes.

I could see American Stars N Bars being my favorite Neil album.

I've been listening to a random NY playlist walking to and from work today. Sometimes I think I get more pure, raw enjoyment from listening to Neil than any other artist.
