Taran Killam & Jay Pharoah will not be back. They both started in 2010 and were released from their contract a year early.
Killam may have stayed a season too long; I think his best work was a couple years ago. I really thought Pharoah would catch on more than he did. He had some great impressions but never really found a good fit. Who's going to play Obama now?

I'm good with these moves. Killam is a role player that got leaned on a little too heavily over the last few years, and Pharoah is a talented impressionist who was never really able to break out of that one-note. I think SNL needs to focus on their core of very funny women.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I still need to read this. I read his ESPN book a couple of years ago and it tickled my fancy.

I didn't know he did an ESPN book. The SNL book is really just a bunch of interviews edited together to create a detailed, free-flowing narrative of the show's history.

It's done in a similar fashion. Goes through the entire history of the network told by the people involved.
