Its definitely not scary but my fav Halloween movie for this time of year is Sleepy Hollow. There is just something about the cinematography and atmosphere of the movie that makes a perfect Halloween movie.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I went to every shitty sci-fi flick in the 90s. Event Horizon gave me a headache.

There are images in Event Horizon that are next-level hellish and gruesome. Like a more extreme Hellraiser.

You should always watch something and decide for yourself. I'm in the camp that your initial feeling was not only correct but understated. So, I certainly don't recommend the film. I can't think of a single good thing about it. It ranks among the absolute worst movies I've ever seen. But, yes, you should see it for yourself. Ruddo and Verm and others obviously disagree and found things to love about it.

I remember being scared shitless by The Omen when I was a kid. Remember very little about it other than I was scared.

Yeah, The Omen is terrifying, especially when you're younger and seeing it for the first time. It isn't as scary to me now that I'm older and seen it a few dozen times. But it's still a great movie and the sense memory of how scary it used to be still gets to me and I get tense watching it.

Event Horizon has its issues as a movie, but I'll agree that it really scared me when I saw it in theaters. It's dulled the second time around, but that first time was a pretty freakish experience.

I was so bored and so angry when I saw it in theaters. I wish I'd had the experience you other folks had.

Joey you should watch it again. I'm sure your palette has matured since 1997. You'll like it now
