I'm pretty sure that I've seen Event Horizon - I just don't remember it

Yeah. That's fair. I probably should give it a go again.

Gore isn't really what comes to mind when I think of Event Horizon. More like: mystery, paranoia, hopelessness, murderous desire, loneliness, curiousity, fear, unknowable evil, and vulnerability.

You used the word gruesome. I was agreeing that I think it's gruesome.

I'm sure it will. I watched it sometime last year when LV and I were talking about it and Pandorum. They both held up very well.

Well, you're tastes change as you get older. I hope it still holds up for you.

Gruesome isn't gory.

Those are the emotions I experienced while watching the movie, not at the end of it. What makes you say that?

The Ring ruined my life for about four solid months when I was 16. I still wouldn't watch it. Fuck that whole movie.

Surprisingly really good! Nothing new or groundbreaking by any means but thoroughly enjoyable. The soundtrack is pretty good too.

Gremlins scared the shit out of me as a kid. Even when I watched it again several years ago I failed to really get on board with the comedy/horror genre ranking.

"causing repulsion or horror; grisly." "extremely unpleasant"

It sure as shit can be. And in my case, absolutely is. But fine, if you for some reason don't want to talk about the overlap of those two terms, fine. Yes, Event Horizon is repulsive, grisly and extremely unpleasant. It is very much gruesome. We still agree.
