Again, if you want to know what Zwan sounds like without listening to the album, just stream these two recordings. It's really all you need for Zwan unless you want to dig into the 2001-2002 era stuff, which is like listening to a different band and almost entirely different songs. There's a reason all the hardcore Pumpkins fans were so excited about Zwan, and were thus so let down when the album finally came out.

Together the two recordings are pretty much one CD's length, too; they make the Zwan album that maybe should have been.

I love the Zwan album as is. No post-hoc editing necessary for me.

I seem to remember liking every other song. I don't remember if it was odds or evens.

Any info on the next album? I've really liked their last 2 and listen to them regularly.

That is awesome. For a while at the start there I thought it was just gonna be Jimmy's mic, which I was fine with.

I really liked that version of "Disarm".

Not yet. Some guy on Netphoria got ahold of a bunch of stuff from the Netherlands and is leaking it. Don't bother going there - spending too much that place will give you eye cancer.

So Jimmy isn't a destructive human being for now, and D'arcy and James are good at things other than high fashion. Until they're expendable again at least. What happened to is it Byrne and Nicole? Were they sacked in a sort of sacking-Dave-to-make-way-for-Irons type thing?

Nicole was one of the only tolerable things about SP 2010-2014. Mike Byrne could play the drums, but his problem was that he wasn't Jimmy and he didn't mesh with the band that well. Nicole was a close friend of Byrne and that's why she got fired; Billy wanted to fire Byrne so he decided to just fire both of them.

At this point my dream SP lineup would be Billy, Jimmy, James, Melissa Auf Der Mar and Jeff on 2nd/3rd guitar. I'd take Nicole instead of MADM but that isn't ever going to happen again.

Honestly, I wish Billy would do one more tour with Jimmy and James and then hang it up for good.

Cheers, Billy really is something else. It hurts, SP PJ and Pink Floyd are my 3 favourite bands and I've seen 1 member treat virtually the entire band in this way.

Did anyone ever make a single or double disc "best of" mix out of all that reissue material? I'd love a redux version of that stuff.

Unlike almost any other band I find it difficult to cross streams with TSP. Like, I can't listen to a song from Adore and then a song from Gish and then a song from Machina...otherwise I would have done it.

I did make a mix of the best of the MCIS/TAFH stuff that I quite like, though. I'm not going to upload it here but I could be convinced to share it elsewhere.
