Headline's a bit misleading-- he doesn't blank on his name as much as he just weirdly refuses to say it-- but it doesn't look good

He should've refused to answer, then slipped it in later passive aggressively with a look to camera.theplatypus wrote:Headline's a bit misleading-- he doesn't blank on his name as much as he just weirdly refuses to say it-- but it doesn't look good

Over the years whenever Gary Johnson pops up on my TV screen I think "I should give him a chance" but once he gets through his 90 sec pitch and is asked questions I remember he's an idiot.

Yup. Well, the latest advisory looks better for the Democratic tri-county area and worse further up the coast, but either way it's a category 4 and gonna be pretty bad if it stays on its current path. We just finished boarding up the house so we'll see what happens.Simple Torture wrote:4/5 you were way ahead of this story: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/hur ... l-election4/5 wrote:Surprised I haven't read a "Hurricane as October Surprise?" headline yet.

He really is awful. This would have been a golden opportunity for a halfway competent Libertarian candidate, but yeah.bada wrote:Over the years whenever Gary Johnson pops up on my TV screen I think "I should give him a chance" but once he gets through his 90 sec pitch and is asked questions I remember he's an idiot.

The backflips that Johnson supporters are doing over his gaffes are hilarious. People have actually been saying that he couldn't name a world leader because "why would he admire a world leader when they're all corrupt liberal shills?!?" It's so, so stupid.

Re: Election 2016
Gary Johnson refused to name the North Korean dictator most likely because he doesn't want all of his interviews to turn into pop quizzes (which he would fail).

I know most international people have a general idea of big elections here in the US but how much does it actually affect you?
do you get mad if a party/person gets elected? do you just look at their foreign policy and make a decision (if you make one at all)
