I suppose I can understand this, though--I had a butthurt hate of the Colts and Peyton Manning in the mid 2000s for this same reason. Joey can back me up on this one as well.

Yeah, it's definitely a butthurt hatred. I can count on one hand the games against Denver that I've enjoyed.

I'd like the Pats less if BB and Brady weren't so likable and great at what they do. And the fact that they find ways to win no matter what. I respect the shit out of that. They don't always have loaded teams and they're always competitive. Hard to hate them (unless you're a Bronco fan or a division rival fan).

Here's how I'd tier the NFL teams today:

--Favorite team: DEN
--Teams that I have some respect for: PIT, NYG, GB, MIN, ATL (Kyle Shanahan), SEA (living in the Northwest), SF (dad's favorite team)
--Teams in the sea of meh: BUF, MIA, NYJ, CIN, CLE, HOU (used to be upper tier when they had Kubes, but not anymore), IND (but thanks for Peyton), JAX (but fuck you in 1996), TEN, DAL (I'm a weirdo with this one), PHI, CHI, DET, CAR (last 3 games against them have been awesome!), TB, NO, ARI, LA
--Teams I should hate more but don't: NE (they're just so damn good at what they do), KC (if they weren't in the AFC West they'd be above meh, just a great culture around that team)
--Teams I'm not that fond of: BAL (though I do respect Ozzie Newsome), SD (mostly because of Rivers), WAS (fuck Dan Snyder)
--Team I want to go 0-16 every year and blow #1 overall picks on Jamarcus Russell type players: OAK

I agree with that but there's a mighty gap between dislike and being friends with.
