The tour info won't excite me at all. My ears are shot from my teens of small venues , garage banding and so many concerts in general. Last few concerts I've been to I've had to rock some high end ear plugs. They work like a dream but unfortunately you can hear every note like listening to a recording. Just isn't the same.

Though for me i still live in the south, but Im willing to drive 6 or 7 hours if i have to, but Im hoping for some NC and SC shows that work with the times we will be free
I live in San Antonio Texas and its been a long ass time since they've been here....I still have hope that they'll return. ..soon.
I've never been to Texas, but there has been a rumored show in Dallas, is that too far for you?

it's about an 8 hour drive. I'd do it though in a heartbeat. saw them there in 98 when Rodman was on stage with them. Good show.

Hell, I was about to jump to the band's defence since I didn't think they were quite 50, but I just found out both Jeff and Matt are now 50.

X would be a good title, so I don't think that will be the title.

I have to time my first break tomorrow just right. Its supposed to be at 12 but if I go two mins early that should give me enough time to get to my car and get PJ radio on...then ill have 13 mins from the announcement to either rejoice in the new track or cry incessantly like a child in the privacy of my vehicle before heading back inside. ;-)

Yep. Taking lunch early tomorrow. Gonna go to the car and listen to PJ radio. Hopefully rock out to new PJ - at the very least- I'll come back to my desk and order tickets for the tour.

There's the third option of feeling indifferent. Because it'll be pretty much as expected. A mediocre punk/rock track without any boner inducing riffs, solos or codas. Some people (many part time/non fans) will be like 'woo, this is a return to form!', but the rest of us it'll be a big 'meh' moment.

Edit: Damn it, I'm turning too cynical for my own liking.

I'm optimistic ...I believe they still have greatness in them. I feel it was hinted at in backspacer and like it was said missed the mark by like a mile...but still hinted at in my opinion. I believe this next album will be something special.

It's apparently 3 minutes long, so I hope there is a guitar solo in there somewhere.

Mos def.

Circumstances permitting, I'm going to try to make the next Melbourne show (whenever it might be.)

It may contain a 3 minute long solo, then the band jumps in for an outro at the end.
