Re: Boston Red Sox Thread
Let's start to write the documentary that will look back on these playoffs:
"After two tough losses in Cleveland, Ortiz and Pedroia called a players-only meeting in Boston on the off day. Ortiz roused the room with: 'We don't go out like this, guys. We are a team, and if we go down we all go down together...but not...like...this!' Pedroia added: 'Yeah, fuckheads, get your fucking shit together!' Clay Buchholz gave up 8 runs on 9 hits in 1.2 innings pitched on Sunday."

Re: Boston Red Sox Thread
at least we'll get to watch Francona celebrate on the field at Fenway...the idea of that fuck you to Henry et al almost makes up for the fact that we just pissed away Ortiz' last seasonSimple Torture wrote:Let's start to write the documentary that will look back on these playoffs:

Lots of people are pointing out that this is exactly what happened in '99. We'll see.

What good is great reg season pitching when it fails in the playoffs, Mr. Porcello?
The big fear with Price was his lack of postseason success - so troubling to see that's clearly the case in Boston.

Meanwhile, Lester throws 8 innings of shutout ball in only 86 pitches last night...Coach wrote:What good is great reg season pitching when it fails in the playoffs, Mr. Porcello?

That's a shame. He really pitched poorly.
