I'll get my overwrought analysis up this week, after I watch it again. That should get this thread a-flaming.

Is that an excuse?
Are people treating this like homework and are going all do this at the last minute?

What are you talking about "excuse"? There are two weeks to watch the fucking movie. People are busy, they'll do it whenever they can. I know I can't watch it before the weekend.

Yes, because they'll all look terrible after watching this masterpiece.

They really should have committed to the Long Qi/Ma romance instead of halfassing it.

I never occurred to me before that Japan plays the part in Eastern Cinema that England often plays in Western Cinema.

The guy who plays Long Qi was the only actor that popped. The rest were pretty bland. He'd make an pretty great bad guy with a heart of gold on a CW show. That probably sounds like an insult.

The slow mo, regular mo, fast mo made the fight scenes come off as in authentic and the fighters as sub par which is a shame cause its obvious they are up to the task.

The close up of that guys balls shaking while he pissed himself after being punched by Ma was the highlight of the movie. The fist to fist arm break was cool too.

You should. Does it go against the spirit of the movie club for me to post a really harsh review of a movie pick if I only watched half of it?

I would say no. You should feel free to review any film however you wish to.

I'm watching this again right now. God damn I love this movie.
