Do you not watch any American tv shows? Even with the ad breaks taken out the pacing changes are so apparent that that alone is pretty jarring.

Trying to interpret how Krennic is talking to Vader. As a superior, or as an underling making excuses for Rebels having stolen the plans. Vaders dramatic entrance clip seems to suggest he's there to knock Krennic and his team into shape or take over the final stages.
This might be the best of the 6 star wars trailers/teasers we've had of the new era, though I'm not sure anything will ever match the last two bits of the first FA teaser.
I'm going to go watch them all now because this is a better use of my time than doing budgets.
I remember thinking the first few shots of the FA teaser were just a well done fan movie, but that shot of Ren in the forest is still chilling, and now that I'm several years into the rebirth of star wars, the pause after the delivery of 'and the light...' to the shot of the falcon climbing, the title theme, and the tie fighters attacking still makes me feel like a kid again in all the best ways
Man, that second FA trailer really leans so heavily into the nostaliga, especially the first half of it. Excellent use of music in it, and some good shots, but nothing quite as powerful for me as the end of the first teaser, or some of the best moments in the one that followed. I was never quite taken with the 'chewie, we're home' moment as others. It was almost a bit too on the nose.
I love the third FA trailer - the music and the shots chosen do such a wonderful job establishing who Rey is. And the 'it's true, all of it part' is amazing. Much more effective than the chewie, we're home bit. The battle sequences shown were all top notch. I spent god know how many hours imagining what those exchanges would look like on the screen. And while the 'the force, it's calling to you, just let it in' line never made it into the movie, it was such a fantastic line to close out the trailers.
The first RI teaser had a little bit too much of a YA feel to it. The shot of the star destroyer dish being close was really cool, and the siren sound effect was used perfectly. But overall, this didn't do much for me other than the shots of the AT-ATs on the beach, but even there there was something almost a bit too video gamey about it.
The first real trailer was SOOO much better. the dialogue was too obvious, and they were showing, more than telling, a bit too much about Jyn's character. About 45 seconds in the trailer gets much better, despite the dialogue problems. The death start blocking out the sun, is great, the beach fight looks thrilling (which it didn't in the teaser), the canyons, dust storms, and ariel shots in general look great, and jyn limping out on the ledge with the tie fighter targeting her is a wonderful moment. This got me somewhat excited for the movie, but I was a little worried about the dialogue
I watch force awakens trailer fan reaction videos all the time:) the one from hall H At comiccon and the Han&Chewie reveal just sending the room into meltdown
They know how to make great trailers. But my favourite will always be that one you mentioned Stip. 'and the light..' and the Falcon doing its thing over the fanfare. Screamed my head off and cheered for a bit then cried like a baby
yeah, this most recent trailer is the best of all 6. Every shot is great, and the sense of urgency and scale is palpable, with the dialogue serving the story, rather than trying to give everyone their one catch phrase moment.
