If Hillary wins Florida he'd need to win all the other tossup states and then somehow steal Michigan and either Colorado or Wisconsin to get to 270.

All of this is why a Trump candidacy is no longer as interesting as the consequences of a Trump candidacy.
The consequences for his supporters.
The consequences for the election, and it's immediate aftermath.
The consequences for Republicans.

The consequences for Republicans.

I've seen things about people who start running their kids online presence when they're a baby. Like it's not bad enough you're helicoptering them through preschool and kindergarten and that but you're also marshalling them virtually as well.Bi_3 wrote:theplatypus wrote:I really should never run for president of any country. My past will catch up with me so quickly. Hell, just my posts in GD alone would render me unelectable.
I've been thinking something along these lines recently... what seemingly innocuous thing have I done that would destroy me if I became famous.
I fear who will be left to run the world in 10 years

If the Trump campaign does proceed with lawsuits, it will give both the Times and the Post the opportunity to pursue discovery and request information on Trump's entire sexual history, because Trump would have the burden of proving falsity and actual malice.

Re: Election 2016
Trump has crashed and burned so much that this scenario is highly unlikely in play, but it would be a fun one.
Evan McMullin could become president with just six electoral votes.
How would it happen? First, you'd need a map like this:
This denies both Clinton and Trump a majority, thus sending the election to the House for the top three candidates. Its state delegations, which are decidedly in the Republicans' favor, could then choose to elect McMullin as president in order to purge Trump once and for all.
But as for vice president, the Senate only gets to choose from the top two candidates. So if the Democrats win back the Senate, you could have a McMullin/Kaine combination.

Allegedly, Trump opposes globalization. Hence the global corporate war against him.cutuphalfdead wrote:Probably drastic market instability due to an incompetent and belligerent leader.VinylGuy wrote:Im suspicious on why big corporations hate Trump and are so vocal about it.

Re: Election 2016
Emphasis on incompetent. Remember that time he suggested that treasury bond holders take a haircut??? The POTUS can not say stuff like that. His or her words move markets. For him to suggest that he would default/renegotiate the debt (aka the safest financial asset in the world) shows such a stunning lack of even basic economic/financial knowledge (or more generously but no less dangerously a recklessness with language) that proves him unfit to even be considered for the office.cutuphalfdead wrote:Probably drastic market instability due to an incompetent and belligerent leader.VinylGuy wrote:Im suspicious on why big corporations hate Trump and are so vocal about it.

Yeah, at their money. His economic proposals are disastrous for American business. Starting trade wars is an awful economic policy regardless of the size of the tax cuts he promises to dole out.Strat wrote:Even monsters draw a line in the sandVinylGuy wrote:Im suspicious on why big corporations hate Trump and are so vocal about it.
