Fair enough, I was thinking of doing that, but now I figure what the hell. I remember setting my alarm for a similar time to listen to that 10 sec preview of WWS on the radio back in '06. To be honest I'm starting to get excited so I might struggle to get to sleep. Should make for an interesting day at work tomorrow.

I have to be up around 5am or so tomorrow as it is, so I'll only be a few hours removed by the time I get around to checking in.

What I am NOT looking forward to (if MYM is a straightforward song) is 2 months of people assuming that one song is indicative of the album as a whole. It could be, of course, but we won't know.

I guess it could be. While I appreciated the artwork for Backspacer, I'm hoping for something a little more serious this time ala Yield, Binaural, etc. Same goes for the music.

Pearl Jam are usually great at "serious" so I'm hoping for that.

Wasn't the single already confirmed to be coming out on July 16? Why do people think we get it today? (I'm not doubting it, I just haven't kept up).

All I really expect today is an album title and release date, and the tour schedule. I'd consider the actual single and tracklisting to be a bonus.

yea, so that would be a week from tomorrow. Maybe we will get lucky and we get a download of it today but most likely the announcement will be new album details, tour and letting us know the single will be released on the 16th.

That's all I know is that if I'm Stone and the band decided to release the album two weeks after I released my solo album, I'm pretty annoyed.
