It's just for clarity, friend. Star Wars tends to be an umbrella term now that encompasses all of it. Calling the "first" one (or the "forth" one depending on your point of view) A New Hope is just easier and makes things clearer. So, I guess what I'm saying is... settle the fuck down.

I'm moving more toward the opposite, actually. I've always been Team No Crawl. But the closer this gets, the less I want to have one. It'll still be the best Star Wars film of all time whether or not it has one. But I'm really pulling for no crawl.

What was the line in ANH? "A lot of people lost their lives for this?"? or something, right?

I think it would be epic if they all go out in a blaze of glory, sacrificing it all for the cause. But I'm afraid Disney won't let it happen like that...

I'll suck every nerd's dick/clit if this isn't the greatest Space Opera film ever made.

I think if anything we might see a little over acting In this. From Mickkleson, Mendehlson and jones particularly. But if it fits the seemingly intense war zone vibe well ok then.

I just want this bullshit to be over and get back to a real countdown towards real Star Wars.

I'm only kidding. I'm as excited as everyone here for it. Nervous but excited.

I think if we can open up and expand this absurd notion of what is and what isn't Star Wars, everyone should be fine. This is going to be too good to dismiss out of hand.

But I definitely expect the whole, "yeah, it's a good movie but it's not a good Star Wars movie" nonsense from some folks. But, if that's the only real complaint they have, I'll call it a win.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of people suddenly hopped on Gareth Edwards' nuts, and were suddenly gushing like children. I fear something terrible has happened

We're seeing flashbacks to her as a kid and her father being taken. That makes me think we won't need or see a crawl

How do we know they're flashbacks, though? The editing in the trailer of young Jyn in the weeds cutting into adult Jyn in the jail cell could be a clue, for sure. If that's how it's cut in the actual film. But still... we don't know that it's a flashback. The movie could open at that point and then jump some years. It could all be chronological.

We had flashbacks in TFA and still had a crawl.

I dont care either or. its star wars because it has x wings, a rebel alliance, it has the force, it has the empire, it has good vs evil, it even has darth vader. its star wars even if you took away 1/2 of those things.

Im excited for it. I hope the script is good and we didnt see all the best stuff in the trailer. I dont care if there are nods to the OT characters, it wont disappoint me int he slightest if there are. its all par tof one big large story and a beautiful tapestry of space battle and world domination. And i want to bang felicity
